#NYIAS: RED or BLUE, What Suits YOU? Are YOU Still Feelin' The Lexus LC500?

#NYIAS: RED or BLUE, What Suits YOU? Are YOU Still Feelin' The Lexus LC500?
I feel like this is the launch of the Lexus LFA all over again. I remember after much of the fan fare over the LFA subsided, the L brand started turning up LFAs at auto shows internationally in all sorts of colors.

I remember a bright red LFA in The States and a blue LFA in the UK. In fact, I think that was the vehicle they distributed to members of the press and was the car Jeremy Clarkson fell in love with.

Well, it seems that history is repeating itself. That's because Lexus brought along not one, but TWO LC500 models to the New York Auto Show. The red car is the V8-equipped model and the blue one is the hybrid variant.

After spending a day at the auto show I decided to make a return trip to Mercedes-Benz's booth. Honestly, it had a great stand and I love the all-new Mercedes-AMG 43s. But, strategically placed on the far north side of the booth bordering the three-pointed star was the very eye-catching LC500h.

And my, oh my, did that lovely blue hue get my attention. This marked the third time I stood and watched it slowly rotate around 360 degrees.

While I think I have made it somewhat clear where I stand on its design, I am more curious as to the Spies' opinion. So, Spies, are you STILL feelin' it or has the extreme styling worn thin since Detroit? Or, if you disliked it in the Motor City, is it starting to get some of YOUR love?

In almost any vehicle purchase, if I can get blue, I'll buy blue.

at first the SC was not doing it for me. But as i see it now...years later, the SC is definitely a classic timeless machine!

Fast is awsome when your young and stupid. But crusing the blvd with my gf is so much better!

The initial shock factor has worn off for me. Maybe because I am still seeing tons of the first generation SC out and about and think about how almost perfectly that car looked and drove. More importantly, its look is timeless. This LC500 may look aged a year from now.

@cidflekken, if you're "still seeing tons of the first generation SC out and about" you must be living in a senior community in Boca Raton, Florida. The blue haired people like yourself love mashed potatoes and nothing spicy. THAT is the clusterduck of the SC's lack of styling. People with a pulse will love the LC. Your assessment that the "LC500 may look aged a year from now" is your opinion and you have every right to you opinion just as every human has a right to a poop chute, but come clean. You wouldn't give ANY Lexus the time of day no matter how amazing it could be because each morning you face Germany and pledge allegiance to Mercedes.

Makes two of us.

This car, to me, is far more fascinating than the Jaguar F-Type, Mercedes-Benz SL-Class, BMW 6-Series and whatever else I am missing.

I adore this car in the blue spec!

The WHITE one. There is a Lexus 500 in white, from Grand Tourismo, going around the web....looks very sweet!

Is it a real car of three-dimensional image?
