Volkswagen Holds Executives Accountable For DieselGate By Cutting Bonuses 30%

“As a consequence, this would lead to a significant reduction of the variable remuneration,” Volkswagen said.

That means VW execs still get 70% of their bonuses, in spite of Dieselgate, while VW workers get laid off and VW dealers -- who invested millions of their hard-earned money and now are threatened with bankruptcy and talk from VW that they "considered" pulling out from the US -- suffer in the scandal's wake.

Sounds like The VW Way :-(

Produce relevant, high-quality, durable, good-looking, appropriately priced cars, that don't cheat?

I'm guessing to get no bonus, they would have had to defy the ceo orders and not instigate the cheat device.
