DRIVEN + VIDEO: Is The All-New Jaguar F-Pace The BEST Competition The Porsche Macan's Seen? Could It Even Be...BETTER?
The all-new Jaguar F-Pace is one of those vehicles that caught our interest since we saw it in concept form as the C-X17. It looked stunning, boasted a rather impressive interior design and finally got the green light.

It seemed a bit touch and go there for a second, but here we are.

If you were to ask Agent 001 and me which sport-utility vehicle really provides the best driving dynamics for under $75,000, we'd be hard pressed to think of anything that could top the Porsche Macan. As we like to say, it's not a scaled-down Cayenne, it's a jacked-up Cayman.

Well, it seems that the Macan may have met its match in the all-new F-Pace.

See what we mean by watching the video review below.

What say you, Spies? Could the F-Pace be even BETTER than the Macan?

Jaguar has released the F-Pace into the hotly-contested crossover SUV class. Can the AWD 3.0 V6 compete with the Porsche Macan Turbo and Audi SQ5?

A really good catchy marketing program could certainly position the awkwardly named F-Pace against the Macan - and Jaguar certainly has the upscale reputation to pull off an upset - noting that Porsche has more than one SUV. THe F-Pace certainly is a looker in the segment - but there will be more competition coming -in the Alfa and Maserati vehicles too. SO the question is - how long will this run to SUVs last - or will it eventually die down like mini-van sales as more soccer moms get SUVs instead. I believe that the current Infiniti marketing of its big SUV - showing a well dressed man carting around a gaggle of young girls - has the potential for disaster.

THe real question remains - where will Oil prices go - as long as they stay in a range below $45 a barrel - suvs will prosper. WHen they start into the $50-60 range - those sales will slow down.
