LEAKED! The Next-Gen Mercedes-AMG E63 S SPECS Get Revealed — Does It Have Enough GRUNT?
One vehicle that's been getting a lot of attention in recent months is the next-gen Mercedes-AMG E63. There's a lot of focus on this particular class of autos since the launch of the Cadillac CTS-V with its mega Z06 V8 powerplant that pushes out an astonishing 640 horsepower.

So, will Mercedes-AMG retort with something as nutty? Well, we've got the answers for you now.

According to a leaked slide, the all-new E63 will offer 563 horsepower and 553 lb.-ft. of torque in its standard trim. Step into the "S" model and you'll get a solid 603 horsepower and 626 lb.-ft. of torque.

Paired up with a nine-speed MCT gearbox, the standard E63 is expected to hit 60 in around 3.7 seconds while the "S" will do it in about 3.5 seconds.

Is this enough though? While it's now confirmed that it will move to a 4.0-liter, bi-turbo V8 mill, you have to admit these figures are not exactly jaw dropping. And with FCA's Hellcat motors producing over 700 ponies, one has to ask themself if you're looking for a sledgehammer, why not just go with the American grunt? While we admit they're two classes of automobiles, there's no denying at the end of the day that power is power.

What say you, Spies? Does the all-new Mercedes-AMG have ENOUGH grunt?

Absolutely not enough power. I need at least 650 just to get to the grocery store and back in a reasonable time. Well maybe it is enough.... The Germans never used to be only about horsepower, which although important, it is not as important as the overall package.

The E63 S will have 626 lb ft of torque, virtually identical to the 630 lb ft for the CTS-V. And the E63 will have 4Matic standard.

Ones a brutal yeeha of a car and the other a hammer in a silk glove. One for cruise night with your buds and the other to take the wife to see her mother and get back home quickly. More than enough power in each but for different occasions!

THere are very few people in the world who would consider comparing a DODGE and a Mercedes directly. Even considering the Mercedes reliability is questionable - they simple do not share the same desirability around the world.

But then - there are REDNECKS in the USA - and if you think the DODGE is better because of pure power - you might be a redneck!
