Toyota Plants Deeper Roots In Texas As Official Sponsor Of The Texas Ranger Baseball Team
Toyota just became the official truck sponsor of the Texas Rangers baseball team that plays down the road from its future headquarters in Plano, the company said today.

Toyota’s tie-ins with state go deeper even than its massive new corporate campus in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. The Rangers sponsorship will also highlight the carmakers’ two Texas-built trucks, the Tacoma and the Tundra, the company said.

There was a time when I thought that the ever increasing price of transportation of cars due to rising oil prices - would eventually require car companies to make their cars closer to their sales. And making certain product primarily for a market also pointed in that direction.

Too bad that changed - it had the potential to really support the American Middle class. Still - arrangements such as this point out that manufacturers still get a better bang for the buck with arrangements such as this - than TV advertising that - because of the greatly increased number of outlets - is no as longer price competitive.
