As in every thing - there are people who use features properly - and those who do not. The idea that a car is connected goes back to early mobile phone installations. It is perfectly possible for someone to drive a car without texting - and without carrying on cell phone conversations - and without playing X-Box games - and the overwhelming majority of people fall into that category. It is also possible for passengers not involved in driving a vehicle to occupy their time using a lap-top - playing games - watching a movie - and even texting.

It is when the stupid people who feel that they cannot let a call go by - actually take the call when they are in City Traffic - while driving - that the problems happen. There is NO law that prevents such a stupid individual from getting a license to drive. Maybe IF there was - with really high costly fines - some people would stop doing it.

I have a number of cell phones - going to different people in my company - and I know which ones will have to be answered relatively quickly -however -ALL of the phones have an auto-answer that I am driving and I will call back as soon as I reach an exit or a rest stop. And that is approved by the company as well (THey have little choice - they cannot require me to answer while driving).

Frankly - I do not understand the incredible need to be connected with everyone in the world all the time - people leave far too much information on these social media sites already (My company does not allow us to use then during work). If I answered EVERY call every time - I would never get to my destination.
