Just think, if the Chrysler brand had both a mid- & full-size SUVs...they'd probably quadrupled their quarterly profits by this point in time. But anyhoo.....

Dodge has the Durango & Journey currently. But if the sporty mainstream brand had Grd Cherokee sized SUV & a more competitive update for the Journey, they'd be overflowing with net profits as well. Dodge could even use something like the Kia Soul with aggressive interior options to keep youth-oriented consumers interested.

The problem is - with the Chrysler BRAND - they never were known for Suv's - most dealers in the USA were Chrysler/Plymouth/Jeep. In reducing the Mini-van to ONE brand - FCA has shown it has no interest in lots of Brands that essentially compete with each other - and actually reduce profitability. That is why they want to reduce Dodge to performance cars - and make Chrysler an entry level (IE Ford Chevy) competition. SImply too Many names to support.

@TomM this is 2016 not 1956. Chrysler may not be known for its SUVs but if it is to remain a brand, It DESPERATELY needs crossover/softroaders ASAP NOW TOMORROW.

A Chrysler Town and Country pulled from the Cherokee would be a good start.

A Chrysler Mojave pulled off the Pacifica would be another good move.

Softroaders would be a great addition to trail-focused Jeeps
