Panamera Sport Turismo Coming To US - Will THIS Be The Porsche You Have Been Holding Out For?

Panamera Sport Turismo Coming To US - Will THIS Be The Porsche You Have Been Holding Out For?

When you think of Porsche, sports cars, supercars, and track beasts likely come to mind. Probably not wagons.

Not to say there'd be anything wrong with a five-door car with hatch from the enthusiast-driven German automaker.

In fact, from many Porsche enthusiasts, that kind of car would be extremely welcome.

Porsche lovers have been waiting for a Porsche wagon since the Sport Turismo concept was shown off at the 2012 Paris Motor Show.

I like the Panamera, but not this one.

Chop off the front-end and remove the "Porsche" logos/names and it looks completely generic. Especially the rear taillight design, which looks Lincoln-esque.

I guess every Porsche will eventually look like a Cayenne/Macan.

Since the Panamera was basically a flop, maybe Porsche is trying to resurrect it my making it into an SUV?

How can the Panamera be so ugly and this be so right of form and yet the only real difference is the roofline? I'm not a Porsche fan and I'm definitely a Panamera detractor, but this is a handsome vehicle.

Terrible sales. They sold about half as many Panameras as 911s in North America last year and the more practical Panamera should be ahead. It isn't.

But they still sold 5000.00 of them last year. At the end of the product cycle. And considering the fact that they get about 23k in options on each one I'd say they did pretty well.

Matt is the laughing stock of this site. If only he would have graduated from high school we would be able to take him seriously. The idiot can't comprehend that building and selling cars is all about net profits and not volume. In some years the Panamera has out sold the 911. If it was all about volume, TVR should remain a dead an buried company.

The Panamera GT is a looker. I wouldn't purchase one for myself but I do like the concept. I wonder how the GT will affect the sales of the regular Panamera since they seem to be basically the same car with the same mission.
