SPIED: We Show You The MOST CRAPTASTIC Rebadge Of 2016

SPIED: We Show You The MOST CRAPTASTIC Rebadge Of 2016
There are some thing we'll just never understand. One of them is why people rebadge automobiles to try and represent them as something they're not.

Hell, it's gotten so bad that there's even an Instagram account that's inspired by the famous FakeWatchBusta, called FakeAMGBusta. I follow it and love the updates, some of which are truly mind bending. Its owner is a good guy and drives a lovely CLK55 AMG.

**See FakeAMGBusta's account here.

That said, we bring you what may be the biggest foul of 2016. Words cannot even begin to describe.

Spotted in Las Vegas by our very own good friend, Fred Khaz, we bring you a Honda Accord Crosstour that's been rebadged as a Porsche Panamera. No, I am not kidding.

I could go on about this for quite some time, but I'll spare you. Just scope out the photos below and let us know your thoughts in the comments. Feel free to unleash, Spies!

I feel sorry for the people who do these rebadges...their low self esteem and inferiority complex drives them to do foolish things in an effort to gain status and attention. Sad wannabees!

So whenever someone plays the "badge whore" card, we gotta send them to this page! :-)

I encourage readers to visit the link listed by '00R (https://www.instagram.com/fakeamgbusta/), where you'll even find a Lamborghini owner who faked the next model up, just to try to get still more status. Seeking approval in this manner is a very loud broadcast of self-discontent, regardless of one's actual accomplishments.

Pretty awesome. I once saw a Jetta rebadged as a 911 turbo. Obviously the owner has a sense of humor.

I never considered your perspective, but I suspect you might be right! Rebadging a stock Honda as a Porsche Panamera could be the ultimate self-deprecating joke. Sort of like carrying a plastic shopping bag that has a hand-written Gucci logo on it in magic marker :-)

Yes, I'd like to believe they are mocking themselves vs truly believing that anyone would think it's a Porsche Panamera.

Saw it that way too. Thought about Matt actually, thinking that the only thing as ugly as a Panamera is a Crosstour... So the guy's laughing out loud.

The Crosstour as a Panamera is sheer genius. The automotive commentary in it is sublime.

I wonder how many people saw that & thought "cool. Porsche taking designs in a 'different' direction..." or just plainly thought that thing was a real Porsche. lol

Guys the funny thing is when I was taking these pix 4 or 5 people walked by and said look at the Porsche Panamera. It fooled a lot people.

The ironic thing is that the styling is perhaps better than the real Panamera!
