SPIED: All-New Spy Shots Of The Audi Q5 And SQ5 Give Us The BEST Idea Of What's Coming Down The 'Pike
The entry-level luxury sport-utility vehicle game continues to heat up. With a dizzying amount of choices to choose from now, it's as though everyone has an entrant in the field.

And that's because...they do.

If you're a fan of Audi, however, you've likely been wondering how much longer until the four rings upgrades the existing Q5. It feels like it's been around for ages. Well, that's because it has been.

Now that the all-new Q7 is running around local streets, you can expect the all-new Q5 to be appearing shortly. The latest collection of all-new spy shots have hit the 'net and it's clear that research and development is running along quite nicely.

As seen in these all-new pics, some of the exterior camouflage has been removed and we're starting to see some of the details for the first time. That includes the prominent front grille, headlights, the front valence, fenders, rear hatch and even a tease of the interior thanks to an open door. Check out the door card.

We expect it to be largely inspired by the all-new Q7 and all-new A4. It should come as no surprise that Audi will leverage the A4 portfolio's engines. That means a four-cylinder mill and a six-cylinder will likely appear. We're going to place a "hold" on the diesels given the VW fiasco.

OH THere will be Diesels - the difference in the cost of diesel fuel in Europe makes it hard to justify gas engine vehicles there.

Just maybe not in the USA

ANd I note - that the existence of both Diesel and Hybrid vehicles speaks to another point often missed on this site - neither of these are normally associated with competitive performance - yet the diesels sell in large numbers in europe - because of fuel cost - because having a car is more important that how fast it goes.
