Tesla Model 3 Preorders Settle In At 373,000 After 12,200 Cancel Orders

Tesla Motors Inc. now holds about 373,000 reservations for the Model 3 electric car due late next year following customer cancellations of about 8,000 cars and 4,200 duplicates canceled by the company.

The numbers were reported as part of a Tesla filing to raise $1.4 billion in a share offering to pay for the accelerated launch of the car.

Company executives had previously indicated reservations totaling about 400,000, without giving an absolute number.

Those 12,000 all decided to buy TVRs given that the new TVR is infinitely more likely to come to market.

If you can get a new TVR for about $35,000 - get two - I will buy the second one from you

@TomM I was being purposefully absurd. Getting a decent TVR for $35K is easy if you're OK with a Tasmin, S Series, Chimaera, or a Tamora. If you want a Tuscan or Sagaris multiply that by 2-3X. The new "Griffith" is whispered to be in the $80-90K range for its base.

Yeah they are really smart speculators. Took several weeks to realize they can't flip it when the time comes.
