SPIED On The STREET! The 2017 MY Kia Cadenza Gets Nabbed — Is It Looking BETTER Than Before?
The 2016 New York Auto Show (NYIAS) brought forward some interesting products but if you were to ask my opinion about the car that was disappointing, there’s no question I would have noted the all-new Kia Cadenza. In the Agent’s opinion, Kia has been killing it by dropping all-new designs that get better and better with each all-new product.

Except this time. This time was a whiff when it came to the exterior.

Having said that though some all-new spy shots were passed along to us by our ace in the hole, Fred Khaz. I don’t know how he does it, but Khaz manages to run into more SoCal-based research and development cars than the professionals do!

Seen on the road for the first time, the 2017 Kia Cadenza was spied in white and completely bare of any camouflage. This means it’s the first time being seen on the street and out of the rather harsh automotive show circuit.

To us this makes a difference in how ALL cars appear.

So, what do you make of it? Is the all-new Kia Cadenza looking more like a winner to YOU than it did at the NYIAS? Let us know in the comments below.

Sorry - but there is nothing about this car that would interest me over alternatives from Gm. It is just too generic - I expect to see it in Costco in a package of three cars for the price of two. And I would still pass.

The Cadenza is actually a pretty good value. It's smooth and refined. Its reliability is excellent. Those who buy it love it, but not many buy it.

If it wore a Lexus or Audi badge, it would be praised.

This Cadenza is definitely more attractive than the laughably styled Buick Lecrappe, but so what?

The problem is that the market has spoken and large sedans are out. Even premium brands are seeing the migration away from their sedans to their crossovers.

Sales of the Cadenza (and Azera) are terrible yet at the same time, Kia has zero problem selling fully outfitted Optimas which is what people are buying rather than stepping up to a larger car.

The better path would have been for Hyundai-Kia to have used this platform solely at Genesis as their Lexus ES / Continental fighter.

an Audi badge ? How about some pedigree. Audi has been around for generations. This design was made up over night taking cues from whatever fit their fancy. There is no pedigree here so thats why its about as banal as you can imagine. For people who want a big bloated design knock off it will be fine. Just don't bring Audi into this.

You're drinking the Kool Aid again. A3? Golf! Q7? Touareg! 2.0T? VW. TDI? VW! What were you saying now about pedigree?

Let's assume the Cadenza is a mongrel. When then does it easily equal Audi in build quality and surpass it for reliability and a much lower incidence of warranty repairs?

Audi must be inbred. LOL

Too generic and derivative. If price is you're primary reason to be looking at a car, then just go American or Japanese unless they're priced too high. Stick with countries who have actually developed things for the automotive industry the last 80+yrs instead of a company that just churns out counterfeit cars. Hell, if you really want cheap, just wait for the Chinese crapboxes to come over.
