Kart1 can u give some example of that better THINGS,which are in the category/class and price range of HONDA CIVIC.
Honda CIVIC is the CLASS TOPPER LEADER in both Design,performance,driving experience..etc

Good question Jugnu - first of all I didn't mention class that was an overall statement. And I believe that the Mazda 3 is better in design, performance, and driving experience. What you forgot about the Mazda with it bigger engine and better performance???

yes, everyone HATES the new civic...is that why dealers can't seem to keep them on the lots? oh, i think i know what the problem is...people hate them so much they buy them and don't drive them so they won't be seen on the road. ...got it now. my bad.

and another note...go try to get a discount on a new civic, and then go see how much Mazda is discounting the new 3.

NOW, just so you know, i'm not saying the 3 is a bad car, it's just not as good as the Civic.

i hate the mazda three, its no where near best in class in europe.

anyway back to hondas.
the civic type-r and golf gti are different, the civic is the far more sport-biased drive, and they appeal to different markets.
i like the looks of the new civic though, but my parents don't. which if honda wants a younger image, is a good thing.

First of all there's a lot of things that looks better than n Civic. Second of all, that car would look good if it wasnt for that black division it has.

Civic versus the 3. They are both good cars and the best in their class. The Civic is more of a cruiser while the 3 is the one more orientated towards sport. Of course the Civic sells more - its a Civic and still a better car. But people who care more about sport should go with the 3, as it is a better performer. Now I am not saying that the Civic is not selling well, but the 3 is a better car for what you pay. Also the Civic SI is great at 200 hp can get go 0-60 in what 6.8 sec???, well edmunds.com just tested the top of the line 3, called Mazdaspeed 3 and that thing does 0-60 in 5.6 sec.

So in the end I am saying that they are both great cars - but the 3 has a little more premium features (even though it has been on the market for 3 years already - and it also beat the civic head to head in a comparison by edmunds.com) and has a better performance. But many people will be happy to have a Civic and I am saying this again the Civic is still one of the best out there.

Well, I guess all these comercials with that gay looking guy and the more powerful and more expensive GTI didn't save it from the wrath of the Civic.

I think it is the most distinctive looking car in its category. You can't compare its look to anything out there.

And does that make the GTI less of a car? Of course not. I think that the GTI's more refined demeanor appeals to a different clientele than the Si's ricer-ish image. I think they're both fabulous cars; great efforts from VW and Honda.

I hate the Civics dash. I tried to like it but it just bugs me to look at.. I think the Civic is one of the better in class.. but would love to see cars in this class start beating the civic. And I do like the Chevy but until they build it its like comparing apples and oranges

The 1.8 VTEC 140BHP engine of CIVIC is enough for it to be the segment leader.
DO U know even the market leader Toyota(COROLLA) worried so much,that they didn't wait a second,after they heared that CIVIC's VTEC is having 140BHP.

That's why u can see TOYOTA's new 1.8 DUAL-VVT-i engine producing 130BHP,debuted so soon,but it's still got 10 less BHP.

AND don't just ask about the THYPE-S and TYPE-R.UNBEATABLE.

ALL in ALL i'll give CIVIC 9.5 out of 10 OVERALL,that 0.5 less because of too conservative rear end (TALILIGHTS).

I love Honda. We are getting the Type R in south africa for the first time. I was the 3rd person to place my order for the type R. Even if the Type R looked like a pile of crap, I would still buy it.

I just know its going to drive O so sweet. NO turbo, you got to luv it.

And the end of the day..Its different strokes for different folks.

if u guys didnt know, that WTCC was developed by aussie designers, and as the australian newspapers put it, it's a one off just for fun concept with no eye on production. thankyou.

So therefore - this Chevy is UGLY and just as bad as all the other Chevy products out there.... Chevy won't do well with this concept if it turns production because they'll tone it down and cheapen it up!!!
So therefore - now I see why everyone is talking Civic, I have nothing else to say about the Chevy either....

People the article here is about the chevy not the Cripic, n t those who think the type R/S/M whatever they come up with still gets short to the true things, if u look at the specs n the parts it has, u can c its a slack-off. U wanna talk about the Civic make another article.

Not a pretty sight. I'll wait until GM is as respected as Honda before I consider one. I'd love to see the daw when people are saying "I'd buy it, if it was only more like a Chev".
