It's the eve of Memorial Day and for SoCal BMWphiles that means one thing: It's day two of Bimmerfest 2016.
If you weren't able to make your way to this year's event at Fontana then do not fret. That's because Agent 001 made sure to go hog wild and photograph the show top to bottom. If you've been waiting to get an eyeful of the blue and white, then we've got you covered.
Bimmerfest 2016
This particular batch of shots leans more towards the more modern BMWs on the street. That includes the all-new M2 and the M3/M4. We're interested to see if there's any one particular vehicle that's more appealing to our Spies, who we consider the tastemakers.
So, take a walk on the wild side by seeing just a sliver of our Bimmerfest 2016 photo gallery.
Let us know in the comments:
WHICH of the Bimmerfest cars speak to you?
Whether you find it utterly repulsive or strikingly gorgeous, we want to know!

BMW are old men cars - those remembering the good old days - Today they are clinging to hard to their old ways to be the "IT" car of the current generation. That is what happens when you get to the top - your destined to drop. Eventually they become mass market cars again. Frankly - there are now more alternatives than ever - and with Jaguar and Alfa entering the "3" class - there is no clear winner anymore.

you can say that about many brands that its an old mans car , caddy, buick, lincoln , mercedes, lexus... the statement just doesnt make sense. ANYWAY, love the pics, i think the M2 in stock version looks incredible with that long beach blue. a few others also pretty cool.

@TomM BMWs have always been mass-market cars. BMWs trend very well with Millennials so that would argue against them being for old men. BMW--at the moment--is in a styling malaise, but their engineering is solid.
The "good old days" for BMW are right now. I'm not a fan of BMW, but the M2/3/4s are sweet rides to say the least.
To say that Jaguar and Alfa are the equal of BMW is laughable. Jaguar still has reliability gremlins and the Giulia is a parts-bin mongrel.

In reality - ALL of these level cars have one thing in common - the over 50 group will be their largest group of buyers. You see the top premium cars come and fade - simply because they are too scared to change the styling to keep up with the times. BMW -LIKE Audi - are not particularly reliable used cars after 3 years - mirroring the Jaguar problems of the past. AND I did not say that they were not sweet rides - they are - between repairs. I did not say Jaguar and Alfa are equal to BMW - what I said was that there is no clear winner - and that is the case with maybe the exception of the M cars - which ruled in the past. Not all BMWs are M cars - and an used M car is not a choice I would make. But you have to drive the Jaguar to see that they are really good - a lot better than you imagine - and depending on what you want - there will be people who prefer it to a Bmw. THe Alfa is not yet available - so complaining that it is a parts bin mongrel does a disservice - since Most of these cars are based on platforms that have been around a while and just tweeked here and there. After all - some of the Alfa parts come from the same parts bin as the BMW (Transmissions among others). THe good old days for BMW are getting closer to a decade old now - where they were the clear leader - again - today - lots of cars in the classes signal no clear winner anymore

@TomM and you got your demographic research data from where exactly? Jaguar has a MUCH higher warranty incidence rate than BMW. BMWs simply are not as bad as Jaguars. Jaguar has made progress with reliability, but so has the entire market, which leaves them behind yet again.
The Giorgio platform is heavily derived from the Ghibli/Qporte platform which is largely what is under a Chrysler 300. They shortened it and narrowed it and called it the all-new Giorgio platform. I'll bet if you look hard enough you'll find a LOT of component sharing.
Mercedes is so obviously the clear winner in the premium forum.
