Norway On The Verge Of Kicking Fossil Fuels To The Curb By 2025

According to a bill proposed by Norway’s four main political parties, all new diesel- and petrol-powered cars would be banned from registration in less than a decade.

Norway is already one of the most ecologically focused countries in the world, with nearly a quarter of its vehicles being electrified cars. The locals are in love with “green” and the new car registration trend in the country is the proof. As an example, electric vehicles, hybrids and plug-in hybrids accounted for over 60 percent of all the cars sold in March. An initial proposal made by the Labour Party aimed to ban from sale all new conventional-powered cars by 2030new deadline. Such news has been enthusiastically received by Tesla’s CEO Elon Mush who tweeted “Just heard that Norway will ban new sales of fuel cars in 2025. What an amazingly awesome country. You guys rock!!”
