RENDERED SPECULATION: If The Next-Gen Volvo XC60 Follows The XC90's Design, Will You Be Putting One In Your Garage?
When it comes to selling a luxury sport-utility vehicle, we have to admit that Volvo has come out of the gate strong with its all-new XC90. Not only has it been getting a lot of attention from the motoring press, the vehicle has caught buyer's attention.

In the New York Tri-State Region, the XC90 is a smash success.

Although the area is flooded with Audi Q7s, BMW X5s, Cadillac Escalades and Mercedes-Benz GLEs, the XC90 has been making some killer headway. Well done, Volvo. Well done, indeed.

While the company's design language has spread to the likes of the all-new S90 and V90, there are other vehicles in the company's portfolio that are lagging behind. One of them is the XC60 sport-utility vehicle. This SUV also sold in rather strong figures and it's due for an all-new generation.

That said, one artist from Auto Express decided to imagine it because it is likely next to receive Volvo's all-new design. So, what do you think?

If the XC60 comes out looking like a mini-and-sporty version of the XC90, then it would easily be the SUV I'd consider in the class (if I were in the market).

The XC60 needs to hurry up and get here. Volvo desperately needs a volume-selling hit and the XC90, S90, and V90 simply will not have the volume Volvo needs to sustain itself.

I'd also fast track an XC40.

Yes I agree. Volvo needs to get both the XC60 and XC40 here ASAP. Those 2 vehicles will be the 'bread and butter' of their car sales. I'm frankly not sure about the sedan. Frankly the concept looked a bit
ungainly and sat very high above the wheels. Further Volvo needs to
track Audi, BMW and Mercedes sales of the A3,228/235I,C 200 Mercedes carefully before stepping into the waters(especially for the US).
Assuming the SUV/CUV sales go well Volvo may be better to concentrate on a coupe or 4dr coupe(based on the show concept). It needs to be available in FWD/AWD as all of it's other models. Because of the limited production potential the "coupe" model should be the top halo for the brand. The thing they need to watch out for is this. The smaller
they go the larger the competition in the market place is.
