There's a world of difference between wanting something, believing you need something, and decreeing that it is so. Summary in summary:
Speaker: We need to reduce our cars' emissions by 40% over the next 15 years
AutoSpies: Guy decrees only EVs will be sold by 2030

Germany is heavily dependent on the health of its Auto Industry - and could not afford to "decree" that requirement - without a similar "decree" from all other countries of the world - and we all know that is not going to happen. The Netherlands may have decreed that - but in the end - it is unrealistic even for a country that has little auto production - since they cannot decree OUT OF EXISTENCE - cars already on the road without a MAJOR fight with the electorate. THey will still need to have a petroleum infrastructure for years afterwards.

Good point TheSteve - but to be fair, the GROSSLY MISLEADING TITLE is not so much Autospies as it's more of a 009 thing.
