UAW Claims Volkswagen Failed To Recognize Member Vote To Organize

When it rains it pours. The last thing that VW needs is the blood sucking UAW, but it probably thinks it does given that the German unions practically control the company.

Workers have a right to work. They do not have a right to be cash raped against their will. Workers see how the UAW siphons money off for the Democrat party and does virtually nothing for the rank-and-file workers.

Pay raise? More dues! More money to political action.

Right-to-work laws need to be a 50 state reality and unions need to be banned from political action.

One really gets tired of the ranting and ravings against unions. While the convervative rich has pressed this issue - the rich have gotten richer but the poor and middle class has not seen any real wage increases in more than a decade. In addition - you are hard presses to find a company that offers a pensions anymore - workers are allowed to fund THEIR 401Ks - and upper management get stock options - making this the first generation of people who cannot depend on a pension for some retirement help. Since they have had no real wage increases - they generally don't have the money. Now - the concervative right want to take away medical benefits as well - by both getting rid of the affodable care act - AND by forcing the workers who have had no wage increases to fund their own medical car too - again reducing the amount of income that they have to live on.

In the recent recession - Unions had to give up benefits to the companies who were on the brink - but now that they are making profits again =- the companies are balking at restoring these temporary give backs.

And certainly - with the Republicans in congress - they have DONE nothing to protect the workers - they are the ones in favor of free trade and outsourcing jobs. They are the ones against a decent minimum wage - and they support these huge companies when they reduce hours so that they do not actually pay benefits to the regular employees. The heads of VW - and the Porsche family - makes tens of millions of dollars a year and were asleep at the wheel - as longas the profits were good - who cared if they CHEATED a little!

As the country now moves toward the left again - it is time for the workers to take the country back - and they can only do that against a huge company if they are UNITED.

The Republicans BIGGEST accomplishment in the recent congress has been to steadfastly defend the second amendment right of a terrorist to come to this country and buy an assault weapon. Congratulations

ANd it is hard to point to the Clinton Foundation that actually makes contributions to worthy causes (its records are public) against Donald - who claims it but won't show the proof.- and that ignores that Mr. Trump is a Billionaire - who has profited a number of times by declaring Bankruptcy reorganization to eliminate the small investors and people he owes in his projects.

The fact is - the conservatives had run roughshod over the middle class for the so long - that it is disappearing - and eventually they will have no one to actually buy the goods they import made by poorly paid workers who get no benefits.
