CAUGHT! 2017 Porsche Panamera Slips Out Ahead Of Global Reveal

While we’re still almost a week ahead of the June 28 unveiling of the all-new Panamera generation, it appears Porsche has no problem letting the secret out of the bag.

This is because one of the most important announcements for the Zuffenhausen brand, the new generation Panamera sedan, has already been unleashed completely undisguised out in the traffic. And we have a matching image pair to see the model from all angles, with the four door revealed in all its second generation glory. There’s some tape still there, covering the badges – but really, is that a way to conceal a model everyone is expecting and wants to know every little detail? We can see 21-inch wheels, carbon ceramic brakes, and tailpipes that signal this could be an intermediate Panamera S version. We’re eagerly expecting the Turbo S credentials, since Porsche has been bragging the model can do the Nurburgring about as fast as the Carrera GT.

Ever had Jeremy Clarkson's interpretations of Porsche looking like squashed beetles been more accurate, ever time I see a 911 or panamera I can't help but grin

Personally, I like Porsche's styling in everything they're turning out. I find there's something very appealing about a car company that has found an attractive form, and who doesn't jump on the latest car fashion trend, like square headlights from the 1970s, or today's latest thing of sharp creases, trapezoids, and "I'm trying too hard to look futuristic, but end up looking just weird and/or ugly" styling.

If Porsche's greatest sin is lack of change for the sake of change, or arguably looking too conservative, then I'm good with that. I prefer classic over garish.

Other than their tacked on LED light strips to the front fascia which definitely gave into the trends and serve no functionality, most of that is true

I prefer beautiful to dowdy... which the Panamera has always been in my eyes.

The current Panamera is distinctive. Whether anyone thinks it's ugly or not (which I do not), it stands out on the road. Unlike, say, a Tesla Model S. The Porsche that I feel is aesthetically challenged is the Cayenne and it's the brand's 2nd highest seller.

Agreed. The Panamera is unapologetically Porsche and that's a good thing in a world where cars are looking more and more the same.

What's there to complain about a Panamera Turbo/Turbo S in all-black attire ? A guy with enough spare coins to buy this mean machine wouldn't care what people say about it. The same applies for a Hellcat anything.

The leaked pics are on a couple of other sites. It's sexy in black! I like the current car but I like the new one more.

The current one is an ungainly abomination stylistically. The pictures posted elsewhere make the new Panamera entirely palatable and borderline handsome.

I find the Audi A7 to be better looking despite its age.

It's a safe evolutionary 911 type design. Totally typical of Porsche.
