LEAKED! If THESE Are The FIRST Pictures Of The Next-Gen Porsche Panamera Are You IMPRESSED or DEPRESSED?
In recent weeks we've been awaiting more news about the next-generation Porsche Panamera. While the vehicle's been teased a bit, we haven't seen much else.

That's about to change. Right now.

In the past 24 hours, images that appear to show the all-new Panamera have hit the 'net. While we cannot confirm how valid they are, they appear to be the real deal. I do not believe these are Photoshopped images or doctored.

It appears that a Panamera Turbo was snapped during a studio photoshoot.

Painted what I'd consider a charcoal black, the turbo model bears all the signs of the high-end Panamera. That includes four point LED headlights, four point LED taillights with the connecting light bar, and overall a more sleek design that improves on the rather ungainly looking current-gen Panamera.

We're going to be waiting to see if more pictures drop tomorrow, so, hang tight and stay tuned.

That said, IF this is the real deal: Are you IMPRESSED or DEPRESSED by the next-gen Panamera?

God knows my taste in autos is eclectic but I expected more from Porsche design wise. Its done an amazing job over the years with keeping the 911 and Boxster (718) interesting. On the sedan to my eyes (I know I'm swimming upstream based on comments above) Porsche has tied its self to a poor initial design and now is stuck with it. Just saying...

Much better than before. Do I want one? Nope.

Wow - it really is much more handsome! At the end of the day, it is still a niche vehicle.

Porsche should introduce a two-door and a cabrio version - though they would likely cannibalize the Bentley Continental GTC...and the 911 and the Cayman and the Boxter!

In fact, a two-door Panamera (and the Cayenne/Macan SUV's) is really all Porsche needs to sell.

Porsche doing a new 944 for around $40K would be a brilliant move as would a Porsche Siracha below the Macan.

Speak like a true bean counter. Go drive a Cayman and weep - for joy of course.

Well I would prefer a new 929(928 successor) or a 926(944 successor). Both will have engines that sound better then the new Boxster/Cayman. Further I don't give a ratz ass if those turbo flat fours are more powerful and get better fuel economy. They sound like crap. Porsche is more then capable of making a front engine car handle brilliantly so why do we need those mid engine cars anyway? A more marketable car would be a front engine coupe with a small back seat and reasonable luggage space.

Well, again, I think I'm on my own island on this. While this car is definitely handsome, it appears (at least in these pics) that it has lost a bit of character. The outgoing model has a certain presence about it that this one seems to have lost. Especially the rear design treatment that looks like a Lincoln. I can only hope the impression is different in RL.
