2017 Pontiac Bandit Trans Am – Limited Edition
The Pontiac brand has been dead for quite a few years now, but there are still people loving their cars. Let me save you the time:

* Built on previous gen Camaro
* $115,000(yeah, for a previous gen car with stock running gear)
* Limited to 77 units that are already sold
* Pictures of Burt Reynolds in Bandit gear rocking the "short weave"

Just as tacky as the original. Nice job.

$115K for a JC Whitneyed Camaro is ridiculous.

BUT

There is no reason GM couldn't do a Trans Am by changing the Camaro's nose and tail caps and offering a limit number through Buick dealers. They would not need to relaunch Pontiac as a brand/division, but it most decidedly would increase the Camaro's sales.

The old Trans Ams with the hood decal are an iconic part of the American muscle car legacy and not tapping into that is ridiculous.

I love this idea and thought about it awhile ago. It would appeal to a slightly different buyer but also give some traffic to the Buick GMC dealers. More models on the same platform will lower costs an boost profits. "IF" its done well and there is no reason this could not be done properly.
