The author seems to be rehashing very old news. Note that if you click through to the article there is a sidebar on the Jeep Wagoneer dated July 5 2016. The give away is the comment that this 2018 Jeep model would have Jeeps first diesel. ???

Nothing to see here ..... move along.

Everyone who has advanced Tesla money for a deposit (or interest free loan, depending on your viewpoint) should ask Tesla for the money to be refunded to them.

These Model 3's will not trade over sticker once they are introduced, so speculators will just ultimately lose anyway.

Who wants to start the "run" on Tesla's deposit bank?

It's old news that Tesla ALLEGES they'll start deliveries of the Model 3 in "late 2017", less than 18 months away. Last time I heard, the Model 3 design was still on the drawing board, Tesla's suppliers didn't have faith to build out their own manufacturing facilities in the HOPE that Tesla's sale forecasts will be anywhere close to realistic, and industry analysts are all scratching their heads wondering how Tesla can possibly ramp up production as quickly as Tesla's PR can churn out "great news!" stories.

Plus the fact that the two executives in charge of manufacturing quit Tesla. Not a good sign of confidence in what Tesla is doing.
