Audi TT Will Get a Diesel

Wow, another breaking news about our favorite brand. The Audi TT is going to receive a diesel engine. Audi want to make use of the new Common-Rail diesel engines and therefore we have to wait a bit, but it will have a minimum of 170 bhp.

Sweet, nice performance and amazing fuel economy because the TT is lighter than the other cars that the same diesel gets put in. Imagine a great looking car with decent performance and at least 40 mpg city and 60 highway. Sweet.

There have been rumors, but I doubt it will be in the R8, it is probably a bit too heavy and too big to fit in the R8. But the next A8 will get it. A smaller V8 TDI will probably fit with about 350 hp.

Well, good to see it geting a diesel.

Now BMW seems to be the only one without such offers, and that's a shame.

As for hybrids, what... until there won't be a hybrid diesel, hybrids won't be anything more than an enviromental statement.
