To my eye, the 3 series still looks like the kind of car you'd expect Honda to make if they had bought BMW. Undistinctly Asian with some BMW-like cues.

My wife thought I was being hard on BMW, until she saw a commercial on TV and said "some Japanese car company is trying really hard to be like BMW." We rewound the commercial, and looked at it together. It was a 3-series commercial.

They may have crappy defect numbers, look Asian on the outside, and look cheap on the inside, but they still drive like a BMW. You gotta give them that!

Oh, good move about working on those overly-busy original tail lights from the 3-series sedan. How does this stuff slip by them the first time around?

the thing is, on the toruing the lights look ak. its just on the saloon they look like they swallowed a lemon.
