Test Mule Of Audi's Coupe-Like Q8 SUV Caught In Action

At a glance, this might look like an Audi Q7 – albeit one with some cheap eBay arch extensions riveted onto the rear wings.  Our sources suggest, however, that this is actually a test mule for the upcoming Audi Q8 – a luxury SUV with coupe-like styling.

So is the Q8 a 'coupe' version of the Q7?

Effectively, yes – but Audi's new luxury SUV will feature its own distinct body, with styling that echoes the current A7 and features design elements lifted from the upcoming Audi A8.

They will share a platform and all major components, thus the only difference is the body. The same is true of the X5/X6.

Also possible the Q8 will have a sportier suspension and tuning, which would require a mule.

@jeffgall You're dead wrong. A sportier suspension does not require a BODY MULE. This is just Audi getting free publicity.
