STUD or DUD: Is This One Of The HOTTEST Colors On A New BMW M5? Get A Look At Jet Blue...
One of the things about modern cars, with some exceptions, is that the color palettes have become a bit dull at some auto manufacturers. Take, for example, BMW. If you are in the market for an all-new BMW 5-Series or X5, you have a lot of options.

If you like silvers, blacks and blues.

Jet Blue BMW M5

Nothing is out of the box. All safe bets. While we see the M cars get interesting colors, like Austin Yellow, Sakhir Orange or Long Beach Blue, to me, it seems like the boldness of colors like Imola Red or Laguna Seca Blue are missing.

And if you're not interested in making the commitment of a paint job via BMW Individual, you can always get a wrap, which is what Agent 001 stumbled upon in SoCal. A super high-quality wrap that looks like a chrome blue on an F10 M5 is the end result.

Called Jet Blue, with a matching vanity plate, it certainly commands your attention.

That said, we're curious: Do YOU think it's a STUD or DUD? What say you, Spies?

Ford has played around with the hue over the last few years and the color sells the car.

I'd love to see a Lincoln Continental in that color with matte dark gray wheels.

It's a beautiful color, but I think it's fit better on the 3 than the 5. BMW only uses this for their M/M Sport. Lexus/Audi etc have also used this color for the F/S lines only.

I love BMW 'Individual' colors - the best in the biz. Sure you can have 100's (1,000's?) of colors on your Bentley, Porsche, or Roller - but for taste and "curating" BMW has everybody beat. My favorite is the violet from the 2000's.

The 10 or so individual colors they offer are really quite special. They always make the car look great (something that can't be said of many Bentley or RR colors).

Color combinations from manufacturers can be interesting. Ford was pairing some very nice blue hues with a greige (gray-beige) or black interior. Their research showed that the greige would outsell the black by 5:1. On the lot, blue with black sold instantly and blue plus greige needed money on the hood.

I find--in general--that manufacturers have very little insight as to how color can captivate. BMW has had a few that are absolutely home runs.

Looks exactly like Ford Grabber Blue.
Grabber Blue is an exceptionally fast color.

Sorry, that's hideous.

the color is fine, but it's not going to help increase the appeal of this garbage
