Volkswagen Issues Stop Sale Of Almost Every Vehicle In South Korea
Volkswagen Group will suspend sales of most of its vehicle models in South Korea from July 25, as pressure builds on the automaker over its falsified emissions tests.

The move comes as Volkswagen has struggled with a sales slump in South Korea, Asia's second-biggest diesel car market, after the firm admitted in the U.S. to using software to cheat on emissions tests on some diesel cars.

What's next? A pull out? I cannot imagine why South Koreans would put up with VW's quality issues--even without the emissions scandal--because Hyundai/Kia products are easily superior to corresponding VW products in the first place.

My understanding is that VW got into got water with South Korea because they falsified emission and noise certification documents for over 40,000 vehicles they sold there. I got that from an AutoSpies link.
