2019 Ford Ranger Review, History

2019 Ford Ranger Review, History
We always try to find some interesting cars to write about, some that are going to be released in the future and even some concepts which might not even be implemented. So what is a hot potato these days? There is one pickup truck which production was interrupted, but there are some rumors that a new model will be released by the end of the decade. It is still one of the most popular pickups in North America. As you have already seen in the title above, we’re talking about 2019 Ford Ranger.
RANGER HISTORY

Name Ranger was used on three different models manufactured by Ford. In 1983 in North America they launched a compact pickup truck under this name which has been available internationally since 1998. Nine years after the original model the second generation was introduced. However, after 29 years Ford decided to discontinue the production in the US. No Ranger has been launched since then, but we heard through the grapevine that new model is going to be released in three years. This whole article is based on rumors and speculations, but we hope most of the things written here will come true.

A new Ranger cannot get to the market fast enough. The Canyon/Colorado is a total success. Every day that Ford does not have a Ranger in the US market is a day that they are losing money to GM and Toyota.

Ford investors realize two key facts:

- Not all American consumers want to buy a "full-size" mega truck
either because of cost or size

- Nissan and Toyota are running away with the "mid-size" truck market

Bonus:

Ford needs a platform to base an off-road capable vehicle, i.e. Bronco, on that can compete with the Jeep Wrangler.

Get your facts straight. This is not true: " Nissan and Toyota are running away with the "mid-size" truck market..."

The Tacoma is trending for 200K units this year. The Chevy Colorado by itself is trending at 180K units. Nissan's Frontier is 1/3 the volume of the Chevy.

Nissan is not remotely in the running.

When combined with GMC, the GM twins handily beat Toyota.

Scenario: The American arm of FCA is probably soon to be put up for sale. Ford could buy it. Kill Dodge and Chrysler. Co-brand Jeep with Lincoln and use Ram's volume to own even more of the pickup market.

Globally, both the Nissan and Toyota are selling better than the Colorado.

So, get your facts straight. America is not the only market and Ford is more of a global company than an American one.

If you had done any research, you would have known that Ford nearly killed off the Mustang and for a long time, the Corvette was one of the slowest, pieces of shit coming out of GM, even in time when GM was only know for pumping out turds.

Frontier sales are actually close to Colorado sales, especially when you consider that GM often has the Colorado/GMC equivalent on lease/finance/purchase incentive in addition to greater fleet sales.

Psychotic Mattie is clueless about the car industry. He is however the perfect Auto Spies lap dog. A mutt that is a cross between a yappie biting Chihuahua that you kick the to curb and a brain dead ugly Pug that is the sad village idiot. What a great site, a dick less idiot who believes his opinion qualifies him an expert and ball less moderators who have lost control of the site.

So angry . . . The Ford Probe was to become the Mustang. A Fwd Mustang, which already was failing behind the Camaro, would have been phased out.

Anyone that tells you a late 70s - early 90s Corvette, was anything other than a joke is lying to you!

Also, in what world do you live/believe in/imagine that a company that were to buy the "911" model name and put out a car with it, would sell better than the next generation model Porsche would come out to replace it.

Because you need examples:

Say Hyundai were to buy the "911" name and instead of calling it a Genesis called it a Hyundai 911, at the same time, Porsche brings to market their "911" replacement and call it the Porsche "11".

Do you think the Hyundai 911 would sell better than the Porsche?
(This is what your argument proposes.)

@Mdarringer

I doubt many people walk into a Chevy dealership with the thought:

"It's because of the Corvette, I'm going to buy this Chevy Spark/Malibu/Colorado."

Also, I trademark & copyright the designation "11" in the reference to/or description/name of any vehicle or motorized conveyance meant to transport person(s)/goods/services.
