Trump Backs Down Over Punishing Automakers For Producing Cars In Mexico
Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump indicated Wednesday that he might soften his stance on penalizing Ford Motor Co. for making vehicles in Mexico.

The New York businessman has criticized Ford for taking advantage of the North American Free Trade Agreement to invest more than $4 billion in Mexican auto assembly and parts facilities and build mostly cars that would be sold in the United States. Under the 22-year-old U.S. trade agreement with Mexico and Canada, Ford doesn’t pay a tariff or import tax on vehicles it makes in Mexico and ships to America.

There are two things working against American auto workers: NAFTA and the UAW. Crippling the UAW needs to happen first.

Trump has never said what he would do just we need to stop companies from leaving. The interviewer brought up "tariffs" but I've never heard anything about tariffs. The key is to make the climate in America so attractive that companies the world over want to move here and make things here. That can be achieved certainly in part, by eliminating the business tax which is the highest in the world. Zero business tax would unleash industry and the newly hired would pay taxes that more than make up the 11% of the Fed Revenue earned from Business Taxes. I also see this re-energizing small towns and rust-belt communities. The Gubment is forcing companies out with regulations, litigation, taxes, encumbrances (ObuttFaceCare) and of course the tactics of the UAW. Govt IS the problem.

Anyone with a basic understanding of economics knows that cutting taxes on business tends to increase jobs and revenue.

Cutting ridiculous overregulation would also work wonders.

Abolishing CAFE and letting the market decide the outcome also makes loads of sense.

The OSHA Gestapo is ridiculous. I am not against workplace safety, but regs are pretty ridiculous sometimes.

I cannot support slum lords. That's all Trump is. As bad as I dislike Hillary I dislike Trump more. He is simply unstable, has zero foreign policy ability and his proposed tax cuts will dramatically increase the national debt. Frankly if he gets in we all deserve him. However I think the Republican House and Senate will not cooperate with him at all if he gets in. Further I predict if he did get in the Republican plan would be to eventually impeach him and let Pence take over.
