WHY Won't Honda Bring This Popular Car In Europe To The USA?
Every time I go to Europe I love seeing all the products you can't get here in the USA. And one that's always struck my fancy is the Honda Civic Hatchback.

Until recently, Honda was building some UGLY cars and I would always say to myself when I saw the hatchback that it was one of the few GOOD looking small cars in their stable.

And that I felt that the USA would not only like, but BUY it.

Well here we go again as the 2017 model has just been Spied by our friend Vince Burlapp.

What say you Spies?

Are you a fan?

And do you think if they offered it here it would sell?

Spies, discuss...

BTW, the new Civic is selling like gangbusters here in SoCal.

I must have been confused because I thought the Civic Hatchback was going to be sold in the US including a Type-R.

I believe the Hatchback will make it to the U.S., but I do not know about the Type-R. I think Honda needs to figure out if they will be bringing a S2000 replacement before the Type-R has a chance.

Honda used to be a performance brand and now it's performance phobic, so does that make them Toyota/

Used to be safety/crash worthiness, but now Euro NCAP testing is in many cases stricter and more comprehensive than NHTSA and IIHS. Also on models available here their equipment options are often inferior to those in Europe.

I don't get it either.
