Our man with a plan, Fred Khaz, has been our ace in the hole for quite some time. But this time he's hit the jackpot. Although Khaz has been able to spot some very interesting vehicles on SoCal's freeways over the years, this is one of his better catches.
That's because he stumbled across a fully camouflaged, next-gen Mazda CX-5.
SPIED! Next-Gen Mazda CX-5For those of you who have not been paying attention, the CX-5 has been a success for little Mazda and we're happy to say we dig it. A dear friend of mine who is a CX-5 owner adores his vehicle and we have yet to hear any uproar of complaints from other owners.
We've been keeping an eye on the latest Mazda vehicles and the all-new 3, 6, CX-3 and CX-9 are all great looking vehicles. We're expecting more of the same with the all-new CX-5.
Don't expect the design to be a revolution but rather an evolution. Details will get smoothed out and refined. Though it is tough to make out the vehicle's proportions in these shots, I'd expect it to grow a bit in size and move slightly upmarket now that the CX-3 is here making a ton of noise. This will allow the next-gen CX-3 to get a bit roomier and broaden its appeal because in The States, size matters.
