2018 3-Series Mule Caught With A New Schnozzola - You Digging The New Look?

These are the latest pictures of BMW’s next-generation 3 Series, which has been spotted wearing a previously unseen front bumper.

The future saloon, codenamed G20, will replace the current F30 3 Series in 2018.

Previous G20 mules have been spotted testing at the Nürburgring (you can see one in our gallery), but this new prototype offers the best glimpse yet of what the final production model will look like and suggests it will share several features with the 2017 5 Series.

Wow - what a HUGE difference - the old one looks like an Older BMW - and the new one looks like a still older Bmw. Maybe it will look better in a solid color!!

Maybe they need an ungodly large chrome surround to make the kidneys stand out. I think a 3 inch surround of chrome would be the lipstick this pig needs.

IS IT TIME FOR BMW TO GET RID OF THE TWIN-KIDNEY GRILLS?

Maybe its time for BMW to experiment losing the twin-kidney grill?

The twin kidney grill does not scale up in size very well - it only looks handsome on the 3-series or smaller. The new 7-series looks silly, the X5/X6 front ends look like a startled water buffalo getting a surprise from the rear. Time to lose the twin kidney grill.

BMW's slavish devotion to the twin-kidneys is starting to be like Lincoln's to the old "Continental" hump - an anachronism that steadly shrank over time - except Lincoln eventually ditched the hump 20 years ago!

BMW should experiment on a lower volume model, with no twin kidneys, to gauge market reaction. It is time.

I really hope that is not a near finish interior. If it is, when will BMW learn its lesson?

Looks like another cheap interior from BMW! If the next generation 3-Series interior fails to improve dramatically over the current version, BMW will be in huge trouble as its driving experience is no longer good enough to set it apart from the C-Class and A4. The 3-Series sales are already in a tailspin.

If the interior continues to be cheap, potential buyers will sit inside and within minutes decide to take a look at the luxurious C-Class or the high-quality, modern and tech-loaded A4.

BMW interiors are not cheap. Their problem is they are not designed well, considering the competition. There's a big difference. The C-Class center stack looks very nice and gorgeously designed, but the lid that covers cup holders actually feels very cheaply made and very fragile. The previous A5/S5 interior had very high quality materials and was designed nicely, but there were tons of squeaks and rattles that I endured for 4 straight years.

Yes, the C-Class interior is all sizzle and no steak. From 4 feet away it looks beautiful but live with it day in and day out for a week and you get the sense it is very flimsy and not very durable. The "wood" screams "plastic fake" after about 15 minutes.

BMW interiors are a little too generically designed but made of out nice materials, with a good impression of durability and Audi interiors equally so, with a bit more of an aesthetic.

Mercedes just "dumbed-down" the S-class interior for the E and the C and it shows. They both seem flimsy in real life.

Having interiors that aren't designed well doesn't help BMW. The driving dynamics are no longer clearly above the rest and even if they were, today's buyers don't want the race car handling anyway.

The interior design and material quality is of very high importance for today's buyers. It's a main reason why Mercedes-Benz has been on am absolute tear. It's interiors today have definitely improved over previous generations. The C-Class's attractive interior has been a big reason for its success.

Audi's new interiors are cool, modern, high quality and technology-loaded.

Mercedes-Benz has set the bar very high for the old-school luxury look while Audi has set the bar very high for the modern and sleek luxury look. If BMW falls short in its designs, it could mean a decline in sales or a clear failure in its ability to keep up with Mercedes-Benz and Audi's sales.

If it is on the web it must be true... The grill will not look like that. It is covered up and taped to disguise it.
