Porsche To Play Follow The Leader With Coupe Version Of The Cayenne

A Porsche Cayenne Coupé could make production before the close of the decade as a rival to the BMW X6.

The sleek-roofed SUV, previewed in an Autocar rendering above, would also be a rival to the future Range Rover Sport Coupé. It would be based on the regular 2018 Cayenne and therefore inherit its choice of engine options.

The engine line-up of the 2018 Cayenne looks set to include turbocharged petrol and diesel units, as well as a hybrid option and a rumoured electric powertrain, first seen in the Porsche Mission E concept.
