Department Of Justice Ready To Level Criminal Charges Against Volkswagen

A Wall Street Journal report asserts that investigators from the U.S. Department of Justice have uncovered evidence of criminal wrongdoing in VW's diesel emissions scandal, potentially opening a Pandora's box of additional fines.

 The German automaker is already spending almost $15 billion in a civil settlement with the U.S. government and if federal prosecutors slap VW with criminal charges, this amount will get much bigger.
