Things didn't go terribly wrong with Tesla's Autopilot for the first 130 million miles of use, and people called for Elon Musk's head because of the driver's error/poor judgement leading to his death.

Now - lets get rid of the people - and replace them with cars that drive themselves - although as yet - we still do not have a situation where it is legal for a car not to have a driver in place.
