VIDEO: THIS Is What The All-New Ford GT Sounds Like In HD — Are You STILL Disappointed?

The Ford GT is a legend in the automotive world. While I feel like I say that a lot — or I am just talking about Porsche 911s and Jeep Wranglers too much — the reality is that the story behind the development of this Blue Oval car and its victory over Ferrari at Le Mans is something out of a movie.

While the all-new GT made everyone see hearts upon its debut at the Detroit Auto Show, there was a bit of a let down, at least to some.

That’s because Ford equipped the all-new supercar with an EcoBoost V6 engine. The grumbles heard around the world were about just as loud as a Ford V8.

To be honest, I wasn’t disappointed in the slightest. That’s because I recognize that the forced induction powerplant will have gobs of torque and will be tuned to sound like a monster. I mean, why wouldn’t they do that?

Though our listens have been quite limited, it’s clear that the company has been paying attention. Check out how the all-new Ford GT sounds in this clip. It’s started up and given a few boots just to give you an idea of what it will sound like at full chatter.

Really, when you think about it, it's immaterial what any of us thinks given that production is sold out and we will never have a shot at owning the car.

I gotta agree with MDarringer: the fact that I like (or dislike) a car matters only if my opinion results in a sale, or a sale to a competitor. Otherwise... you know what they say about opinions.

Be careful what you wish for. The front seats are so close together in this "race" car you had better be good friends with your passenger. In real race cars there is no 2nd seat....Skinny people with narrow shoulders only....
