MB better get rid of the GLA or come up with a better replacement vehicle, the NX and Q5 are killing it. -51%? Those are sad numbers!

First of all, the GLA competes with the Q3 - and the GLA is beating the Q3 YTD.

Secondly, the NX is a larger car than the GLA at essentially the same price point. Like the CLA, Mercedes didnt' set out to make a mainstream car with the GLA. Otherwise they would have given it more space inside. However, if they did that, they would jeopardize sales of the GLC, which is selling very well. That is the mistake that Lexus made with the NX, as you can see there isn't the huge growth in RX sales, because the NX appears to be stealing its sales. The NX is a nicely sized product, with similar styling, at a lower price. Don't get me wrong, the RX is selling tons, but there isn't the increase you'd expect from a brand new model. The same mistake Audi made with the A3 and A4. The A3 isn't much smaller inside than the A4 and it has affected the sales of the A4. Yes, the A4 is up YTD, but most of that growth occurred before the new A4 was introduced.
