SPIED: FIRST Pics Of The All-New Hyundai Ioniq On The Road — BETTER Or WORSE Looking Than The All-New Toyota Prius?
The Toyota Prius is the undisputed hybrid king when it comes to moving sales volume. Any way you slice it the company’s vehicle has been largely uncontested when it comes to making a cultural impact and moving the green movement forward.

Of course now there’s Tesla but it still isn’t even close from a sales volume perspective. In 2015, Tesla moved just over 50,000 units of the Model S while Toyota sold over 184,000 Prius’.

That said, there is an all-new class competitor to the Prius. That would the the all-new Hyundai Ioniq. Out of the three flavors we’re particularly interested to see if the hybrid variant has what it takes to give the Prius some sales pressure.

Our man on the street, Fred Khaz, did what he does best in SoCal and snapped these fantastic shots of the all-new Ioniq rolling around. That said, we want you to take a look at his work and let us know if you believe the Ioniq looks like it can challenge the Prius.

It doesn't take much to be better looking than the grotesque new Prius.

Another ugly hybrid. It's an epidemic

I find it rather attractive looking for a hatchback.

Seems I remember Honda made a car with a second window in the hatch below the "wing" - line years ago . Obviously - it must have been a success based on all of the huge number of cars that adopted that configuration since then!!!!

These are just appliance cars - with little to brag about beyond admittedly good fuel mileage. Maybe Sylvester should buy one for Granny!

My 2007 Prius has treated me well, with over 200,000 miles on it. However, I can't stomach the newly design Prius both exterior and interior -- it's incredibly unattractive; whatever team and "leader" designed it had their head up their ass and should be fired. I'm seriously looking at the Ioniq. I think it's a very attractive car when compared to other competitors in the Hybrid class. The reviews I'm reading about the technology is very positive. I'm excited about checking it out hopefully in Nov. if they are available in U.S. showrooms. A key question for me is how it rides especially on the highway e.g. motor and wind noise, etc., and of course, pricing. As far as 56 mpg estimates, that's just icing on the cake. While hybrids are not that popular now, I think this car could be a great investment in terms of residual value 4, 5 or 7 years from now when we see high gas prices again.
