SPIED: All-New Pics Of The Next-Gen Honda CR-V — Color Us Interested...
The Honda CR-V is one of the company's volume sellers but if there's one thing that's lacking is its fashion sense. It just doesn't have any verve.

I will admit that the current-gen product is a nicely styled vehicle but it just doesn't have that panache that makes it special. Much like the last-gen Civic, it's milquetoast. Now though, the all-new Civic is completely restyled and it's a very good looking product. In the New York Tri-State they're all over the place. After test driving one, I can understand why.

Back to the CR-V.

It appears that Honda is readying an all-new generation product and much like the more in-your-face Hondas of today, it will follow suit with an edgier design. We welcome it with arms wide open.

Although we've previously showed spy pics of the next-gen CR-V, we've spotted another set and wanted to pass it along.

Why don't Honda's hack designers add MORE elements to the grille?

Looks like they are holding on to an ugly D pillar.

While I find the current version's D pillar design hard on the eyes, especially from a 3/4 rear view, it looks like this one adds a little length and mass to it and dumps the vertical tail light design. Total effect could ease the harshness.

It doesn't matter what it looks like, the "car is an appliance" crowd will still flock to it.
