Crackpipe Pricing? Nissan Demanding An Eye Popping $175K For The 2017 GT-R Nismo

The Japanese supercar is not cheap, though its most circuit-prone version does have a slew of novelties – including better aerodynamics, improved handling and even more power.

Nissan has announced the 2017 model year GT-R in Nismo guise will cost $174,990 without the destination and handling taxes in the United States. The launch was staged at the Japanese Classic Car Show at the Queen Mary in Long Beach, California

The GTR is a great $50K car, but it simply does not have the quality or engineering refinement to command any of its price points.

Never buy a car when most people's reaction is "You paid what for that!" There are so many more better choices at this price point all of which will depreciate at a much slower rate.

well considering that the 2009 models which sold for $79000.00 brand new, can't be found for less than $60k anywhere they seem to be holding their value pretty well. What's that you say about depreciation???

at that price people care about the badge... that's when the car has to look its price. having great performance is no longer enough.
