Renault, GM Alliance Will not Happen

Talks between automakers General Motors Corp. and Nissan-Renault regarding a possible alliance have ended, the Wall Street Journal reported on Wednesday.
< br /> GM Chief Executive Rick Wagoner and Carlos Ghosn, CEO of Japan's Nissan Motor Co. Ltd. and France's Renault, in a phone call on Wednesday morning concluded the two sides were too far apart on a potential tie-up and decided to end the talks that had been underway for two months, the paper said, citing a person familiar with the situation.
< br /> Renault, Nissan and GM officials declined to comment, but analysts had become increasingly skeptical GM would agree to the kind of sweeping global deal Ghosn had outlined because of the U.S. automaker's progress over recent months in cutting costs.

Now let see what's gonna happen with Toyota, Ford, Honda and Renault-Nissan.

I prognosticate:

Ford with Renault-Nissan and Toyota with Honda eventually!

Than the question will be: "What's gonna happen with GM!?!"

If GM gets together with Toyota GM is gonna take Toyota to the bottom.
And btw why Toyota needs an alliance with a LOOSER!?!

Toyota is already starting to have quality control issues. It's expanding at monstrous rate. They need to solve that before any talks of a merger.
