Is The ES350 The Perfect Car For Those That Hate To Drive?
Don’t listen to those people who try to stifle dreams by saying that a liberal arts degrees, theater arts degrees, or plain old art degrees are useless. Those types of education offer a variety of practical applications however vague they may be. On the other hand, interior design psychology is a highly specialized degree and trying to count the number of uses that sort of education turns into a bit of a head scratcher. At least that’s what I thought until I set foot inside the 2016 Lexus ES 350.

And there's nothing wrong with that.

As long as they get off the passing lane....

Gee - isn't the PASSING lane for people who are past 60? After all those years driving - they PAID for it.

The ES series is basically the replacement for the full size Buick in the marketplace for Senior Citizens - a Blah - reasonably roomy car for Grandma Doris to take her three friends to the church mixer. They want smooth ride - some quiet so they can hear each other(even though they have hearing loss) - comfy seats - and almost no real input "feel"(Example - overboosted power steering). They won't drive it fast - so they don't car about "handling". But they do want it to be reliable. The Lexus "name" is enough cachet that they don't need it to be a hard to driven punishing German sedan with track tested punishing handling. And to them - the left lane is actually a reward for the older driver to use - just as using a rear view mirror is optional since they don't care about what is behind them - since that is the other person's problem. THey probably will never use many of the features of their new Media system - they are lucky if they know how to change the channel and volume - they still don't know what a CD is - much less a "hard drive"(Maybe a sexual side of a car?)

ANd these people actually have the money to buy these cars in good numbers - keeping them and Buicks - and Volvos - and Audis - and others still on the road. And a manufacturer who abandons them (AS Cadillac has) - simply is ignored. Worse - there are probably MORE of these drivers on the road - than ones who like TVRs!

Actually, the Camry is the perfect car for those who hate to drive. Reliable. Quiet. Comfortable. Affordable. If I wanted to buy a car like this, I wouldn't spend luxury-dollars for it.

Oh Dear - Everybody has Camrys - I have a Lexus!!!!

These people don't care that it is a Toyota (Avalon though) - the NAME means something. Just as once - A Buick was considered a DOCTORS car. So owning a Buick put you into a class - as does owning a Lexus does for THEM today.

And face it - cidflekken - you would not buy either car in reality!

Of course I wouldn't because that's not my type of car. If you are insinuating I wouldn't because of the country of origin, then I'll educate your ignorance with the fact that I've owned two Acuras, A LEXUS, two Nissans, a Honda, and a Toyota.

The perfect car for people who hate to drive is a Tesla on Autopilot because people that hate to drive and yet still own cars deserve to die.
