that front end is NOT the Q5, real picks are out there. However, that would make a nice SQ5 front end :)

interior is great

I've never been a fan of the new, overly emphasized "3D grill". The current generation Q5's headlights and taillights are absolutely perfect, while the new ones looks like they were inspired by Volkswagen, and cheapen the look of the vehicle. I'm not a fan of the 1970's inspired sharp body creases, the direction where all Audis have gone. The current gen Q5 has beautiful, purposeful curves that rival Porsche's.

As for the interior, Audi seems to be fixated with the "just stick an iPad on the dashboard" approach to adding a computer screen, rather than integrating it into the dash. It looks like a cheap aftermarket afterthought.

And then there's "different for the sake of different." The gear selector does not have a Park position at full north, like all of today's automatic transmissions do. Instead, full north is the Reverse position. There is a Park thumb-button at the 8 o'clock position on the shift lever. I don't know how that works. Do you have to be in Neutral then tap Park? Tap Park in any gear? Guess you have to read the manual to understand that. Different for the sake of different, but definitely not better :-(

The Q5 has been not only Audi's best seller, it's been the best selling SUV in its class worldwide (mid-size luxury). We'll see in the totally redesigned Q5 can hang onto those honors.

The new Q5 looks great all around - probably better in person like the Q7 -- it will continue to sell like hot cakes

The Q7 does NOT look better in person. It looks like a big, bloated, boring, butt. The ONLY thing that gives its exterior any design interest are the LED front lights. It's the Martha Stewart of premium SUVs.

@cidflekken...we RARELY agree. This is one of those RARE moments.
