SPIED: REFRESHED Mercedes-Benz S-Class Gets SNAPPED Again — The BEAUTY Is In The Details
Another week, another collection of all-new spy shots of the refreshed, 2018 Mercedes-Benz S-Class. The three-pointed star has been working on a newly updated S-Class and we're excited to see what it means when the announcement is official.

As of now we know it's going to get the following:

- Revamped front clip
- Updated rear clip w/ new exhaust finishings
- All-new screens for the larger infotainment system
- Semi-autonomous driver assistance technology
- Updated headlights/taillights

While I am merely speculating, I think it's safe to say that the S will also benefit from slightly more powerful and slightly more fuel efficient engines. In addition, look out for the nine-speed automatic to make its way into the big daddy Benz.

I still don't care for Mercedes' headlights, across all models, though some are worse than others. The AMG-GT's are particularly bad with chaotic, disjointed design elements throughout the headlight assembly.

Aside from that, I'd say this S's skin is lookin' good! I'm glad MB is doing gorgeous curves, as Audi has fired the last of their curves guys and they're left with only those who know how to to design cars using cardboard, rulers and box-cutters.

Go Mercedes! :-)

You mean that Audi - and I suppose Lexus - actually pay somebody to make the cars look like that!!! I thought they used Kindergarten kids crayon drawings.

Love the S-Class (and I guess the E-Class and C-Class since they're smaller cuts from the same sausage.) But can somebody point out the refreshed "details" so I can appreciate the beauty? Looks like last year's to me.

The changes will be to the bottom fascia, front and back, in addition to light design. As you can see on these pics, the LED running lights are now in triplicate vs. single. That all I know.

While the S Class could stand still for another 5 years and still be ahead of the competition, I just wish the refresh were a little more refreshing. It look like another case of having to park the new and the old side by side to see the differences.

At least the current version of the S-class is definitely different from the previous version. The refresh - is just that - bringin technology up to date - but not a major restyle.

Audi and BMW - on the other hand - look like they have for several generations - and it is finally catching up to BMW - and it will to AUDI as well.
