SPIED: The BMW M4 GTS Is In The Crosshairs — Mercedes-AMG C63 R/Black Series Spotted Testing For The FIRST Time
Well, I have to admit. I didn't exactly see this coming.

The very first spy shots of an all-new, even more hardcore Mercedes-AMG C63 have been snapped. The $64,000 question, however, is whether or not this AMG will be an "R" or a Black Series model. As of now, we're in the dark.

Though we'll leave that up in the air, we do have 15 spy shots you should scope out in the mean time. This is one bad ass Benz, no doubt about that.

Seen in coupe guise working the world famous Nürburgring, this C63 is set apart with its slightly revised front clip. Note the new splitter and new aerodynamic add ons? The stance appears more squat and the trunklid may be built from a composite or carbon fiber — hence the different color. Easily the biggest differentiator is the massive rear spoiler that looks like something inspired by the last-gen C63 Black Series.

Clearly, this would go head-to-head among products like the BMW M4 GTS and potentially the Porsche 911 GT3.

One interesting note: The brakes are not carbon ceramic. Hmmm.

There has got be a better way to design that rear deck spoiler without making it look so industrial.

You are too polite! it looks perfectly at home on a Honda Civic, not on a Mercedes AMG.

It's a bit bipolar. The wheels and treatment of the exhaust pipes say premium. The black trunk lid and the JC Whitney wing say Joe Dirt.

Wimpy shaped exhaust finishers. KEEP 'EM ROUND, MB! Grow some balls.

Love the S-Class coupe. The C-coupe just doesn't have the same "it factor" aft of the B-pillar. This version with the ridiculous wing out back is a joke.
