Domestic's lost my loyalty when they were producing crappy cars and their big headed CEO's scoffed at imports never being able to compete all while laughing their way to the bank. In a way its bittersweet that they are struggling right now. Regaining that trust and loyalty is not going to be an overnight thing, it's gonna take some time.

But I do admire Cadillac for their imaginative design. Atleast they do not follow the other domestics and try to go the whole retro route. I'd consider a Cadillac for their design but they still haven't fully acquired my trust.

You are correct sir. The competition has moved on leaving the domestics behind. Atleast GM is importing Opels and they seem to be investing in Cadillac.

I will reserve judgement on the new CTS until we can see it.

We hate American cars (sadly) because the American car companies produce garbage to their OWN people.

I don't care if a CTS-V has 1000 horsepower and costs $50k. The thing is ugly.

American cars in Europe are much better than those over here in the US, one example: European Ford Focus...why??

Where do you guys see pictures from the interior on this article? I saw spy shots of the new CTS interior and it is VASTLY imporved over previous interiors.

There in lies the problem....GM just doesn't design good and functional interiors.

Cadillac wants to beat the M5 with this car, thats y they r increasing the hp so much. unlukily by the time this launches, the next gen M5 will b coming soon. (i know that this will b quite cheap compared to the M5)

It looks great to me. Some people need to quite looking in the past. Yes GM screwed up but its our fault for buying the crap. We get what we pay for and if we dont bitch about it then we may get crap. Hopefuly GM keeps pulling theie head out.

wasnt that cadi supposed to be the 2009 prototype. that one was way cooler looking then this. maybe lexus lovers might find it appealing.

I agree with smshnick, if the CTS had 1000 Hp i would never buy it, I've been in the CTS and it has terrible interior quality, secondly when you give it a very bit of throttle the car responds very weirdly and it's not comfortable, the headroom is smaller than the old Mini's. At the end of the day, it's an American car, they will nearly never do well.

i actually can't fit in the back seat of a cts.
the floor is too high, the knee room too short, no head room, i have to sitall hunched up. and it is so hard to get out, it comes second in my "worst cars to get in and out of". first is the rear seat of a 1 series, i couldn't physically get in without crawling on my knees.

I was a die hard BMW fan until 2003 when they just lost it, every car in the line up was and still is ugly and overdone. I quickly brought a new Range Rover. I must say that when I first saw the Cadillac CTS-V I was instantly blown away by the fact that this awesome car broke all the rules in design horsepower and more than anything the fact that it was a GM product was so much to bare. It hit me then that Cadillac has truly turned itself around with great sharp looking products that not only compete but blow some of it's rivals away. After a fun test drive I was sold and I have had nothing but great things to say. New spy photos show a great looking fresh interior which has materials and quality that looks great. The body styling especially the front end linked with the rear end looks like something from the future that gives this car the complete package. As far as rivals go the current range of BMW'S just looks so ugly especially the 6 series it looks like a hump back whale, everyone knows how ugly the 7 series is with it big butt and the 5 series is so ugly I would not even touch the door handle even if the car had a 600 hp V-10 and every gizmo available. The dash is so ugly and boring filled with cheap dark looking materials and complex i drive and a suspension that rides harsher than a dually pickup. I would save my money and buy the new sharp powerful and better deal cts-v and with the money left over I would buy a boat that my Range Rover could pull. Way to go Cadillac keep up the awesome work.
