Rimac Concept One vs Porsche 918 - DRAG RACE! (video)
Originally the model has been released back in 2011 after more than five years of development. The end result is a really dramatic car which manages to be unique in a market where this is mostly what it counts. Currently, the Concept One retails for around $980,000 which is in line with the other hypercars out there. The interesting part is that there are only a handful of cars out there which will most likely mean that the price will go up in time.

With ZERO pedigree and ZERO brand panache, I wouldn't bet on it.

Could someone with an engineering background please explain how an 82kWh battery can deliver both a range in the 200+mi distance and >1000 horsepower while the Tesla's motors deliver less with a higher capacity battery. I would think if the battery can supply more current at a faster rate to feed the motors it would also discharge far faster.

Which Tesla Model are you referring to, the software limited 40 kWh, 60 kWh, 70 kWh, 75 kWh, 85 kWh, 90 kWh or a 100 kWh? The P and/or a D and/or an L model? Or perhaps the Roadster (Sport, 3.0)? :)

Obviously you will not get 200+ miles of range while drag-racing either car.

The two are very different in battery technology, cooling, inverters, motors, construction, resulting efficiency, and especially purpose and price. I do not believe we have an EPA rating of the Concept_One to be able to compare. but the NEDC range of the 85 kWh Model S is the same 310 miles/500 km.
