2017 BMW 330e iPerformance - Plug In Hybrid German sedan. Modest Range, Significant Change!
In the past BMW’s were better to drive than pretty much any other average saloon even though their price was in line with most other sedans out there. While things have changed over the years, to this day BMWs are still considered sporty sedans and that’s not far from the truth. The problem is that the cars are a lot more expensive than they used to be and people can usually get a similar driving experience without having to pay that much money.

What is significatn about this car?

This is not entirely new as they did so in the past with the “E” models which used larger but really de-tuned engine in order to offer good fuel consumption on the highway without losing too much performance. The latest entrant in their “E” class of cars is the 2017 BMW 330e iPerformance which is a bit more different than its predecessors but its main goal is still to use as little fuel as possible.

This is a good example to illustrate "Just because it's X doesn't mean it's Y." In this case: Just because it's a plug-in hybrid doesn't mean it'll ever save you money or even save you a bundle in gas.

It reminds me of people who buy organic potato chips believing they'll make a positive contribution to your health, because they're organic.
