The Tesla Model S hearse is real and it's to die for
A few weeks ago, we reported a new Tesla Model S hearse concept commissioned by a funeral transport company based in the Netherlands and built by a stretched limousine maker.

At the time, the companies only released highly photoshopped images and insisted that the vehicle was the real deal.

Now that they officially unveiled it, we can confirm that it is real and actually quite impressive… Our first post about the concept was quite popular and you guys had some fun with your sick sense of humor.

Oy vey. I guess it's for those who proclaim "I'm green" most emphatically.

Why does it need a body conversion? The Model S is already transporting dead people (literally and figuratively).

The Model S is still safer than your Ford Fusion or your Mustang V6. The difference is you simply don't know about it.

Speaking of death, aren't we all heading there some day ? In that case, why waste your life to stick with such lousy cars as the Fusion and the "Mustang V6" ? at least you can afford a V8 GT ?

What will Tesla's share of the auto industry be in 10 years? I predict 3%.

I'm going to say 3% as well, which is over 2 million cars a year.

I predict Tesla, as we know it today, won't exist in 10 years. Perhaps a Chinese conglomerate will buy it out pennies on the dollar when Tesla files for bankruptcy protection.

A more apt metaphor...the "casket area" should be filled with $100 bills from investors and be driven off a cliff into the ocean.

For those of you who are ardent Tesla supporters (and who may be too young to remember) please Google Enron Story. There are highly obvious similarities between the two companies - most so in the cult-like support from investors, until they all fell off the cliff.

If you are a Tesla investor, hopefully its only a small part of your portfolio.

Enron...google it.

And Nortel. And Research in Motion (RIM), now known as Blackberry.

Hey mre30, are you still on with the bet that Tesla will go bankrupt in 6 months ? 12 months ? I offered you and MDarringer a challenge more than 3 months ago, still have not heard back.

I absolutely remember but you do not - if you will recall, I noted that it is silly to place a wager on it but that if you were confident in Tesla's long term prospects based on your own research, you should make your own investing decisions and decide what percentage of your net worth to put into Tesla stock. I told you my choice would be zero % because of the many negative reasons that I (and others) have postulated.

If you are a 16 year old kid who doesn't have a job or a car, then you should stop commenting. Else, feel free to put on your big boy pants and make your own decisions.

Myself and perhaps others on this site are making our own observations about Tesla - please feel free to support your own opinions about Tesla with facts and post them for people to pick apart.

In January 2013, I thought Blackberry was not long for this world. Their stock is down from $16.50 (Jan 2013) to today's $7.39, and way down from their all-time high of $144.56 in 2008! This one-time leader's smartphone market-share is currently well below 1% (estimated to be less than 0.1%). They've even thrown in the towel and declared they're getting out of the smartphone business.

Some would argue that Blackberry is dead. Others, that it's still alive (er, um, technically... although it's bleeding red ink, customers, and employees, and it's running out of cash).

Is Tesla another Blackberry? Likely not. But Blackberry certainly shows us how an industry leader and what looks like a "sure bet" can wither away on the vine. I, for one, do NOT believe that in 10 years, Tesla as we know it today will be a thriving concern. Time will tell.

Hah! My challenge was simple: if you're right I'll chane my username, if you're wrong you change yours. Don't give me the bullshit above. If you have a dick, I suggest you do it.

If you and MD have the gut to accept it, then the rest of us on this board will get rid of you 2 for good. You can still continue under anther assumed names if you want.

@mre30 It sounds like someone (HenryN) needs to go back to his anger management classes.

Why manage the anger when I have you guys as punching bags ? Is this the best you can do in deflecting a challenge?

@HenryN then don't play the self-pissing victim-as you do--when people return fire. You are stunningly inept in hanging with @mre30 and me. You have to be a masturbatory 12 year old. You clearly have vestigial penis issues if you resort to cock shaming "If you have a dick, I suggest you do it."

Consider it my mission to "out" your idiocy every chance I get.

Besides, who names their kid "Henry"? Do they want him to get his ass beaten regularly in school?

xjug1987a has only ever been right about one thing, we need to ban psychotic Mattie from this site. His mom's meth addiction fried his brain and nads to the point that he has lost touch with all cognitive, reasonable thought and transfers his tiny willie insecurity others now. Mattie bully's everyone, but all you have to do is push back and he pisses his patties, and cowers in the nearest corner. @HenryN, you have already kicked his ass, utterly dominating MattTheMoron, don't back down now.

@Terry: of course I would not back down. MD is an easy beat.

@MD: everyone on here now knows you are not even half a bully. A real bully still accepts a challenge some time. All you can do now is accept my challenge, I will let you go easy in the meantime.

Again, my challenge is really simple in case you still have not understood: 3 months ago, You and mre30 declared with 100% certainty that Tesla will go under within 12 months - I said no and challenged you 2 with a simple bet: change username, and in essence leave this chat room, if either side loses. It is simple and civilized - no name calling, no insult hurling, ...

Now your turn ... ?
