2018 Chrysler 300 – A New Luxury Sedan Coming Soon!
The Chrysler 300 has been quite a successful car even though its sales might have disappointed Chrysler. It has a unique look, its interior is well appointed and comfortable and its engines will not disappoint anyone. However, despite the fact the current model looks quite modern, the basic underpinnings of the car have been around ever since the 2004 model and this is obvious when you drive the car which feels heavier than pretty much any of its direct competitors.

A new model has been rumored for a long time now and many said that it would even get a Maserati-based platform.

What is significant about this car!

A few days ago though everything changed when an official from the FCA Group announced that the upcoming 2018 Chrysler 300 might use a front wheel drive platform. This is bad news because the platform will certainly take from the way it drives and feels but it has been expected by some people considering that the only rear wheel drive full size sedans are the 300 and the Charger, both of them using the same platform. The new front wheel drive platform certainly is a bold move considering that the current model has been loved for its V8 engines.

Make them all Hellcat and it will sell. Make it a luxury premium and they will lose their tough guy drive tough car segment while not conquering the luxury crowd who will probably buy the new Continental?

If the next generation 300 is front wheel drive and powered only by a V6, it's dead. While the current iteration has the hallmarks of luxury in its quietness, compliant ride and rapid acceleration, the charm of the car, the reason to consider it over other recently improved domestic offerings, is that it evokes a nostalgic feeling with its torquey rear drive attitude. You feel like you're getting something more than is offered elsewhere.

This cow has been milked for too long and Chrysler is simply now too late to do anything.
Emerald customers from National will get to drive them out of very US airport though.

The 300 is embarrassingly old. FCA should cut a deal with Cadillac or Hyundai to do RWD platform sharing because their current roster is the older than old 300/Charger/Challenger, the heavily based on the older than old platform in the Ghibli/Qporte, and the hatchet job on that to create the Giorgio mongrel.
